April flew right by us, and now we have arrived in May. It's one of the best, yet sometimes most stressful, times of the year as we finish our units and spend time saying goodbye through fun activities. Here are some upcoming dates in which you need to be aware:
- May 7 (Today!), Kindergarten preview day at 4:00 in the gym
- May 8, last call for picture orders
- May 21, Spirit Day
- May 23, Last day for students; early dismissal at 1:30
Over the past month, students have:
- Taken the Scantron Test
- Said goodbye to Mrs. Federico
- Many have completed their 40 book challenge
- Become published authors
- Enjoyed the fun of the Spring Festival
- Participated in Trash to Treasure
- Learned about water and made their own thermometers
- Completed several math projects, including Time Detectives and a Pet Shelter project
- Participated in a 3-D virtual reality tour of US monuments using the VR viewers
- Learned about figurative language in writing
- Been tricked by Mrs. Moore for April Fools' Day
