Spring break, here we come! Can you believe that we only have a little more than a month and a half left of school?
Please make a note of these days coming up in third grade:
- April 2nd - Spring Break Reading Challenge due
- April 9th and 10th - 3rd Grade Statewide Testing
- April 20th - Inclement Weather Day/No School
- April 28th - Edgewood Spring Festival (3-7PM)
- May 22th - Spirit Day
- May 24th - Last Day for Students (1:30 dismissal)
Here are some highlights from this month in our class:
- Using Google My Map to follow a fictional character's journey across the United States
- Watching our plants actually make BEAN PODS to complete the life cycle!
- Saying goodbye to our crayfish
- Researching a weird/strange animal and making a presentation about it (Who knew blob fish were so interesting?)
- Learning how to write in a 5 paragraph format for expository and persuasive essays
- Read Across America Week
- Getting to use the Virtual Reality glasses to take a virtual field trip to go along with our American symbols unit
- Getting to meet Miss O'Neal, our new student teacher!
- Learning about area and perimeter using Cheez-its
- Being invited to go see our reading buddies in the Kindergarten program
- Author's Day with the funniest, silliest author
