Early April!

Can you believe that we only have 7 more weeks of school? This time has already gone by so quickly, so we will have to make the most of our last bit of time together!

Our class has been working very hard the past several weeks. Along with fine arts night, students created their own cinquain poems and baby chicks! They turned out very cute! Also in reading, students have been reviewing how to write strong, solid paragraphs that give a lot of details from the text.

In math, students have learned every last morsel of required third grade math! In preparation for the Aspire test next week, we have reviewed each day what has been taught throughout the school year. The students seem very prepared, and I am encouraged by all that they have retained! To review, we have played some games such as Scoot! and Jeopardy.  For the remainder of the year, we will continue to review as well as learn some new skills that will help prepare them for 4th grade!

Our amazing student teacher, Miss Toler, will be leaving us at the end of next week. She has done a great job teaching the class, especially on our new science unit. Students have been learning about water and will transform their knowledge of water into lessons on weather. I can't wait to see the unit in action!
