Happy New Year!
I know, I know. It's January, and I'm just now posting pictures from December. I have no excuses except that we were having so much fun in December that I did not get a chance to update, and now we are back into the swing of things in January!
Here are some highlights from December:
- Grinch themed winter holiday party (thanks, parents!)
- Making and donating fleece blankets for a homeless shelter
- Campbell and Zaidee Gray representing our class in the spelling bee
January highlights:
- We got a new student teacher from UAB - Mrs. Taylor Federico!
- Started a unit on seeds, which has included dissecting fruits and growing our own seeds in a seed sprouter
- Learning about MLK Jr.
- Writing a narrative story on the day that they turned into a celebrity
- Arctic animals research projects
- Using a fun new website called Seesaw to read our writing, make videos, and take pictures of our work
