I cannot believe that we are nearing the end of September already. Soon we will be welcoming our Grandpals into our classroom. Just a reminder that Grandpals should come at their assigned times that were on the invitations. They will meet in the gym and proceed from there.
Next week, I will be sending home field trip information regarding a couple of trips that we will be attending this year.
Here are some highlights from the past couple of weeks:
- Had our first Flashlight Friday
- Began learning multiplication facts 1, 2, and 10
- Tested weight, pull, and friction on vehicles
- Learned more about 9/11 and completed a paperbag activity
- Began making our creations for Grandpals' Day
- Wrote first two-paragraph essay on "When I'm 64"
- Learned how to edit each other's writing to help them with the writing process
